Phone casting & sound
Once connected, open Tools → Phone casting. First use installs the NATNT Cast Receiver on your TV.
Share your entire screen
Choose Entire screen and approve the Android screen-sharing prompt. Open an app on your phone and its picture appears on the TV. Control remains on your phone. Visible notifications and app switches may also be shared.
Share one app
Choose Single app in the system picker when supported. Android 14 QPR2 and later typically offer this; manufacturers may differ. Older systems can share the full screen. Version 0.6.1 also offers playback audio, but single-app selection limits the picture only.
Share playback sound
On Android 10+, both full-screen and single-app casting can share permitted playback audio. Single-app selection limits the picture only; other apps may be audible. No microphone capture.
Photos and videos
Select a file using Android's picker. The file is transferred before playback, with a 2 GB per-file limit. Large files take time. JPG, PNG and H.264/AAC MP4 are recommended; other formats depend on your TV. Temporary copies are cleaned up when playback ends.
Stop and session limits
Stop in the app or notification, or press Back on the TV. Live casting also stops when your phone locks, the connection drops or Android revokes sharing. Starting again requires fresh consent. Live phone casting has no 3-minute limit; TV mirroring and recording each do.
